Dr. Wattana Sukeepaisarnjaroen
Dear THASL members,
First of all, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude towards all members of the “Thai Association for the Study of the Liver” for kindly entrusting me with the position of the “President of the Thai Association for the Study of the Liver” for 2016-2017 tenure. This year marks the occasion upon which the Association for the Study of the Liver has stepped into its 11th year. With a series of unparalleled endeavors carried out by its first five Presidents, the Committee, as well as all members, the Association’s assignments and activities have met with success and come to achieve wider recognition.
Regarding my tenure, the Committee and I are firmly determined to serve as Thailand’s domestic center/medium of fundamental database on the researches and studies of the liver and its related diseases. We are pleased to have received remarkable cooperation from professors and lecturers of all institutes that participate in the research and development in this regard as well. In addition, the Association has taken initiatives in publishing its online journals in order to provide public relations on knowledge of liver disease, the database on which has been compiled from a variety of quality sources ranging from professors, lecturers, fellows, residents, medical personnel and the general public.
Last but not least, I would like to extend my gratitude towards the medical and pharmaceutical companies for the incessant supports. It would by all means be a great honor for the Association to continue having a pleasure of their association. We shall continue moving forward together, leaving no-one behind, as in compliance with the World Health Organization’s policies.
